Vandal Arrested Friday Morning After Attempting to Break Into A Building

An arrest, made with the help of Crown Heights Shomrim, took a vandal off the streets of Crown Heights after he attempted to break into a building in the early hours of Friday morning.

Crown Heights Shomrim received reports of a man yelling and attempting to break into a building around 3:30am Friday morning. Volunteers responded and found the man agitated and having attempted to smash his way through the front doors of the building.

“At approximately 3:30 am, on Friday morning, Shomrim volunteers responded to a call for a subject trying to break into an apartment building. Shomrim contained the situation until @NYPD71pct arrived and made an arrest for vandalizing the door,” Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media.

The police made the arrest after seeing the shattered front door, which thankfully held up under the onslaught.
