Shomrim Releases Alert For Robbery Crew Seen Stealing Mail From Post Box in Crown Heights

by CrownHeights.info

It’s a felony and the police are on it.

A crew of thieves driving a distinctive white Alfa Romero sedan with temporary plates were caught on camera Monday heisting large bags of mail from a Crown Heights post box.

A Jewish resident of the community came across the crew as they used a key to gain access to the post box on Carroll Street and Kingston Ave. The resident confronted them and they quickly grabbed their loot and fled.

Crown Heights Shomrim was notified and released a BOLO, Be On The Lookout, to the community about the vehicle used in the heist. If you have information on the vehicle please reach out to Crown Heights Shomrim at 718-774-3333.

Whoever is paying them for this stuff, & is sending them to do the dirty deed, is providing them with top of the line vehicles. Must be a very well paying heist( oh sorry I really meant job really I did)! :)

How did they get a key for the mailbox on Kingston & Carroll, and was this an inside job ?
    How bout changing mailbox locks?
Who was the previous mailman who had access to said keys ?

Maybe there needs to be better locks installed ?

New NYC Traffic Rule – Police can pull over any vehicle with temporary license plates to verify license plate info.
