Bochur Stabbed Over Shabbos In Hate Filled Attack in Crown Heights

by CrownHeights.info

A Lubavitch bochur was stabbed over shabbos by a man yelling “Free Palestine”. He was rushed to the hospital by Hatzalah and his attacker caught.

“I can confirm that a hate crime stabbing occurred early this morning in Crown Heights, around 2 a.m., near Eastern Parkway and Kingston Avenue, close to Chabad Headquarters,” Rabbi Yaacov Behrman posted to X. “The perpetrator, a Black male in his early 20s, shouted “Free Palestine” and, after an exchange of words with the victim, allegedly asked, “Do you want to die?” before stabbing him.”

According to reports, the bochur had just left an event at Mendy’s on Kingston Ave near Eastern Parkway when the incident took place.

The victim was transported to the hospital by Hatzalah and is expected to recover due to the location of the stabbing and the quick response of paramedics.

According to Rabbi Behrman, community residents pursued the attacker to the area of Union Street and Schenectady Ave and detained him until police arrived to make an arrest.

“This is an extremely serious incident,” Rabbi Behrman stressed. “The victim could have been killed. This act of hateful violence highlights the dangerous impact of anti-Semitic incitement and hate propagated by some local politicians and leaders in New York and across the United States.”

This does not help the perpetrator’s cause in any way and it fact shows that he is more interested in commiting a hate crime than working to help anyone.

      Really now?!
      Ya think?
Maybe you’ve been a little brainwashed to actually believe anybody actually cares about anything except for an easy excuse to attack all Jews, your liberal self included

Anonymous, not sure why you’re arguing with me or calling me names. This is a person who purports to have a cause, that of freeing Palestine. This is also a person who is doing nothing for his supposed cause; in fact, he is simply commiting a hate crime. Vershteyt?

    I was there
    A few points:
    1. hatzalah response was unfortunately delayed of a good few minutes because the hatzalah phone in 770 isn’t working. Of course once called they arrived immediately.
    2. FDNY arrived first, got very aggressive and was adamant to take the bochur immediately and not wait for hatzalah. BH a brave ch yungerman didn’t let them, and hatzalah took him a few minutes later.

    3. 3. The NYPD was literally a few feet away, and not only did this not deter the perpetrator, they weren’t capable of doing anything about it. The perpetrator was caught from two bachurim, hatzalah was called from locals.. they were completely clueless and helpless

That is scary joe, what you wrote makes the situation so much more dangerous… I’m wondering why chabad websites didn’t write the information you said…

You can buy a taser and pepper spray on Amazon by sending it to your relatives or friends in a different state and having them send it to you. Someone should open a shop in Crown Heights that sells self defense items.

They wouldn’t carry it on shabbos anyway. How did they call police if no one had a cell phone on them?
