Arrest Made With The Help of Shomrim After Man Shoots Pellets At Pedestrians from Dollar Van

A man is in the slammer Monday after going on a pellet shooting binge across Crown Heights Monday and getting tracked down by Shomrim.

Shomrim recieved an emergency call reporting a dollar van driving through the neighborhood with a person holding a pellet gun and shooting indiscriminately at pedestrians. At least one Jewish woman was shot at the intersection of Empire Blvd and Kingston Ave.

Thanks to a thorough community member, the volunteers of Shomrim were quickly able to track down the vehicle, call 911, and follow it as it headed south towards Flatbush.

Multiple police precincts later, the police pulled over the dollar van and fount the pellet gun, an Orbeez Gun, as well as the shooter. After proper identification an arrest was made.
