BOLO Put Out By Shomrim For Vehicle Carjacked In Crown Heights

A Be-On-The-Lookout flyer has been released by Crown Heights Shomrim for a vehicle carjacked at gunpoint Tuesday night. The grey color Toyota Prius had Texas plates and was last seen in the area of Union Street and Troy Ave.

As previously reported by CrownHeights.info, a Jewish man was sitting in his vehicle on Union Street when two carjackers came to his windows brandishing a handgun and demanding he hand over his keys. The Jewish man complied, leaving his phone and keys and running away as the two sped off with his car.

The Jewish man quickly flagged down a passerby and called Crow Heights Shomrim and the police, who despite extensively searching the area, were unable to locate the stolen vehicle.

Shomrim volunteers successfully obtained video footage of the carjacking and handed them over to the NYPD detectives who responded to the scene.

The car is described as an 2005 model Toyota Prius, grey color, with Texas plates and damage to the side of the vehicle.
