Jewish Woman Punched In Unprovoked Assault in Crown Heights

Another caught on camera assault in Crown Heights when a woman was punched in the side of the head in an unprovoked assault.

The incident took place Friday around 11:30am Friday morning on the corner of Lefferts Ave and Troy Ave as a man walked casually by a Jewish woman standing on the corner. The video shows the man as he suddenly punches the Jewish woman in the head, sending her reeling against a parked car.

Shomrim was called and the volunteers converged on the corner within a minute of being called.

The first responding volunteer was on scene so fast that he was able to spot the attacker still fleeing the scene thanks to a Crown Heights resident that pointed the attacker out immediately.

Just one block away, with the Shomrim volunteers quickly catching up, the man disappears, raising suspicion that the man was a local who lives in one of the area buildings.

Crown Heights Shomrim canvassed the area extensively without success and was able to obtain video footage of the assault.
