Pushka Thief “Bites The Dust” As He Is Caught Red Handed and Cuffed Thursday Night
by CrownHeights.info
A Tzedaka Pushka thief was caught red handed by Crown Heights Shomrim Thursday after he stole a Pushka from the Levi Yitzchak Library and was caught with his hand literally “in the jar”.
Shomrim had been called in real time as a monitored surveillance camera captured the thief pocketing a Pushka and attempting to make a clean getaway. Unbeknownst to him at the time, it was just not his lucky day.
Multiple Shomrim volunteers were on scene and following him within moments of the call, and watched as he entered Gombos Bakery on Kingston Ave.
With the person behind the desk having stepped into the back, the thief thought he had the perfect opportunity to get his hand in the tip jar, and snatched some bills inside it. As he attempted to make a quick exit from the store he found multiple Shomrim volunteers there, and was soon face down and handcuffed as officers of the NYPD completed their investigation.
While this man may quickly find himself out of jail, as many criminals these days do, he will always remember that in Crown Heights it’s hard to get away with crime.

This guy is a famous drug addict in crown heights who only causes problems for the whole community, hopefuly he gets put behind bars for a long time this time but that’s only wishful thinking
disappointed
Another BS story. He couldn’t care less he knows it’s a joke these days sometimes you have setbacks setbacks. We need to go back to the days of Yisroel Shemtov when the criminals got a very good lesson of what happens when you try something here that is the only thing that works

You obviously not from crown heights for him to be a threat to you
just another mensch
Isn’t the purpose of tzedaka to help the broken and needy?
arresting a needy person for stealing tzedaka seems a little redundant.
Is it about giving to the poor and needy jewish people, or only to the poor and needy jewish people that don’t have mental disorders and know how to beg properly?
I don’t think the rebbe would’ve sent a jewish man to jail over this.

Best way to have this person avoid any of the CH establishments is the post a profile and headshot of him in every store. When he sees his picture, he’ll most likely avoid going inside.
