Man Shot On Utica Ave in Crown Heights, NYPD Investigation Underway

Update: The victim of the shooting was transported to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

A man was shot Wednesday evening near the intersection of Utica Ave and Union Street, the same spot which saw a stabbing just yesterday.

Police officers stationed nearby quickly responded around 6:20pm when two shots were fired at a male, striking him and injuring him critically.

The shooter, described as a six foot four black male wearing a black coat, fled on Eastern Parkway towards Lincoln Terrace Park.

Officers immediately began CPR and requested an ambulance as a Level 1 Mobilization was called and an NYPD helicopter was brought in to help search for the shooter.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and his condition is not known. No arrests have yet been reported.

This shooting took place in the same spot which saw a person stabbed yesterday, according to witnesses.
