Another Criminal Incident Comes To Light From Early Wednesday Morning, Sparking Concern Of A Connection

by CrownHeights.info

A Chabad bochur making his way on Troy Ave was accosted early Wednesday morning, marking the second incident where a Jewish man was targeted in the area that night.

According to reports, the concerning incident began near the corner of Troy Ave and Lefferts Ave, where a male black approached a bochur and began asking him for some money. At first the bochur resisted, telling the man he did not have anything on him. Yet the man persisted, harassing him to the point where the bochur pulled out a small denomination bill and handed it over. If you think that ended the incident, you are mistaken.

The man continued to harass the bochur, not allowing him to leave until two other male blacks “came to his aid”. The two chased off the first, warning that he had already attacked a Jewish man that night. Then they too began harassing the bochur for money.

Feeling afraid, the bochur handed over the rest of the money he had on him before the two let him leave. Shaken, the bochur continued on his way thanking Hashem that he was not hurt.

After contacting Crown Heights Shomrim, the the bochur filed a police report which was taken as a harassment report as the detectives look into the incident.

This harassment came just hours after with another incident took place that night, where a bochur was punched in the face and robbed in Crown Heights.
