Attempted Theft of a Bike and Assault

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – A Bochur on his way home was accosted by a group of Black teen who attempted steal his bike. The incident took place at around 5:30 Thursday afternoon in front of 290 Empire Blvd, between Nostrand and Rogers Ave, there a group of Blacks and Hispanics grabbed him and tried to shove him off his bike.

The Bochur held on tightly and began pedaling harder and managed to get away with the group of perps chasing after him, the Bochur placed a call to 911 then to Shomrim and within seconds Shomrim members converged on the area from all directions and managed to stop two of the group.

Police took a little while to respond but when they arrived they questioned the victim and proceeded to take the suspect into questioning. He attempted to flee, but officers managed to detain him and after questioning for a brief period, they released him saying that he said we saw it happen but wasn’t involved.

Officers then decided that the incident was a mere harassment and filed the report as such. This after the Bochur insisted that the suspect they questioned was one of the group that grabbed him, and he identified him and said, he is 100 percent sure he was part of the group.

One of the officers went back to the group, which began forming on the steps of the building and after a short conversation where the group accused the cops of being ‘one sided’ and ‘picking on the Blacks and Hispanics’ the officer got agitated and demanded everyone to clear the area and threatened that anyone loitering will be arrested and charged.

After the report was filed the Bochur continued on his was home to Borough Park while officers recommended he be more careful when riding his bike through that area.

    – we need to start charging visitors who wish to come to crown heights admission to see and spend time with all the wild animals! it’s like a safari here! you can get up close with the blacks, the moshiach pin crazed fanatics, charlie the balloon man, i mean the list goes on and on! (so sad, because) crown heights is a jungle!!

    why is it that you don’t have to worry when you see a group of jewish teenagers walking down the street?? why is it that you don’t cross the street when a jewish man is walking toward you at night??? …. these people are from a different species!!

    i have met so many black people who are well educated, smart, and they look down upon thier "brothers" who choose a criminal life.

    i once heard of an incident where a black police officer was arresting a black perp, and while the officer was putting the perp into his car to take him back to the station, the perp said to the cop "why are you doing this to me, i’m you’re brotha!" . the (black) officer responded, "i’m NOT you’re brother. it is people like you that put shame on us"

    i think the police are nuts "i recommend for you to be more careful" i wonder what would happen if a cop got in a shoot out and was forced to retire early and the government told him you should of been more careful what would happen then? (there would be a riot ) so now also i think the bochurim should get in groups and start mugging and if the cops come then just blame some black guy standing by

    People need to leave Crown Heights, and move somewhere pleasant and safe. We’re in Victoria, BC Canada. While there are no kosher pizza joints (not yet), you get to see Hashem’s hand in all of the beauty that surrounds us.
