Burglars Busted After Multiple Thefts In Crown Heights and Flatbush

by CrownHeights.info

Collaboration between three Shomrim organizations ended with a burglar behind bars after his crime spree gained too much attention.

The burglar in question had the habit of using two pickup trucks along with his sticky fingers to rob job sites, taking expensive equipment and leaving behind furious owners. He did that a few too many times in Crown Heights and Flatbush, prompting Crown Heights Shomrim to put out a PSA about the vehicles.

Today, his notoriety finally caught up with him.

Aware of the vehicles, an eagle eyed Flatbush Shomrim volunteer spotted the the two trucks as they made their way from Avenue L and East 4th Street towards Boro Park. Soon after beginning to follow them, they reached out to Boro Park Shomrim and together followed them to 24th Avenue & 63rd Street where the NYPD made one arrest.

Now, not only is their crime spree taking a hiatus, but both of the vehicles, wanted in multiple burglaries, have been impounded by the police.
