Tire Iron Wielding Man Targets Car Windows In Destructive Spree

A man dragging a tire iron in the area of Albany and Carroll Street Thursday morning decided to cause destruction and began targeting car windows.
Crown Heights Shomrim received a call for help from a resident at approximately 6:58am reporting a man with a bat in the area breaking car windows. Multiple volunteers responded, but despite being on scene in less than two minutes, the man as described had already disappeared.
As volunteers fanned out searching, the extent of the unwarranted destruction became clear, with no less than three vehicles having their passenger side windows shattered.
With some volunteers canvassing, others quickly accessed Shomrim’s extensive network of surveillance cameras, being able to track the incident in real time and get a better description of the perpetrator. Despite a better description and a quick police response, the man had already disappeared.
