TO JOHN:
What will the government do? Hmm… probably the same thing they did between 1938 and 1945! Wake up and smell the coffee! The whole world hates the Jews. This is not the first attack in Germany, and this will not be the last. If you are a Jew traveling around Europe be extremely vigilant! You are NOT safe!

It’s important to point out that of course, while Germany was the home of Nazism and is the current home of Neo-Nazism, few if any of these attacks are being perpetrated by Germans–they are being perpetrated by Muslims.

It should be mentioned that Arabs (but not Turks) in Germany and particularly the Frankfurt area are increasingly influenced by radical Salafi and Wahhabi hate preachers.
The German authorities have failed so far to stem that problem, even though it would be quite possible to do something by simply applying existing hate speech laws. Just a few days ago, a terror cell was discovered in Germany before they could actually perform an attack.
Jewish institutions seem to be well protected by police, but we do see that this is insufficent if antisemitism ist allowed to be spread by radical Imams. And yes, antisemitism is increasingly becoming a Muslim phenomenon in Europe, it has been that way in France for quite some time now (Frankfurt is just 2 hours away from Strasbourg and 4 hours from Paris).
I hope that Lubavitch will continue their efforts for the Kehille here, and of course a refuo shleimo to Rav Gurevitch.

I am a soldier who was stationed in Frankfurt Germany from 1993 – 1997 and I spent many a shabbos meal with the family. I too wish the rabbi a speedy recovery. Stay strong and we send only good thoughts your way for the coming New Year. Phil S

todays muslims are yesterdays germans….
FedUP!
As someone who lives in this so-called Western Europe. there is only one real solution: Eradicate every Muslim from Europe – send them all back to their original homelands. They have no Western values, they have no Western respect and they have no place in a civilised world. BACK TO IRAQ!

Zalman and Chana Shaina:
It broke my heart to read about what happened to you and the fact that I walked that very route every shabbos made it hit home that much more. I will never forget how you opened your home to me and treated me so generously as you have done and do for so many others. May Hashem send you a speedy recovery and may you continue to do the Rebbe’s shlichus in Frankfurt until the coming of Moshiach.

There is much religios tension in Frankfurt because of some shiite muslims planning to build an islamic center right beside a russion orthodox church. This church has members with Armenian or Jewish roots. Mr Kaymakci, the muslim spokesman, told the orthodox christians, that they should leave the past behind. He is strongly supported by the green party and some evangelic philoislamic pastors. Such statements demand Jews and Armenians to forget the Genocides against them and christians from islamic countries to forget about being persecuted for centuries.

i would say its still safer to walk in frankfurt or most of europe than in crown heights…
