Man Struck By A Car While Fleeing A Shooting In Remsen Village

A chaotic incident in the early hours of Monday morning left one person with a broken leg after he was struck by a car while fleeing a shooting.
The incident began around 2:45am with reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Remsen Ave and Rutland Road. The location of the shooting appears to be a home on the corner used as an Airbnb, at which there was possibly a party taking place. A man fleeing the shooting on foot was struck by a car, also possibly fleeing the scene. The car and the driver remained on scene.
Police arrived and reported that no shooting victims were found.
The man was transported to a local hospital with a broken leg and injured rib.
The shooting remains under investigation.
