Early Morning Burglar Hits Two Homes, Gets Caught

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — At around 5:00am the Shomrim Hotline rings and on the line a man screams “My address is … There is a burglar in my house! Come Quick. Wait, He’s running out now!” after giving his address on President Street between Schenectady and Utica, three Shomrim members arrived on scene within mere moments and begin searching for the perpetrator.

Police were notified simultaneously who responded and began canvassing as well, when a short while later Police get a call just one block away for another burglary on President Street between Utica and Rochestor. Officers and Shomrim members quickly made their way over and while speaking with the resident the description of the perpetrator was transmitted over the radios and a Shomrim member spotted a perp with the exact description.

The Shomrim member called for backup and the suspect was apprehended and arrested after the first homeowner positively identified him as the perp that was in his house.

Residents of the second home were not able to identify the perp since they did not see him, they only heard his attempt to get into the house from the second floor.

In both incidents the perp got in through the front window of the house. The perp was described to be in his mid 30’s and was walking with a cane!

Residents need to make sure to lock their windows and doors, double check your security bars and make sure they are secure.

    i’ve seen this cholereh trying to break into cars a couple of months ago and called shomrim who were there in about 45 seconds and aprehended him but the cops wouldnt arrest due to lack of sufficient proof
    thank g-d they got him lets see how long they can keep him off the streets
