Secure Your Vehicles, Multiple New York Cars Reported Stolen In Montreal

Over the last year, many people who drove from New York State to Montreal, Quebec found a rude welcome when their vehicles were targeted by thieves and stolen.

The trend continued this week when a group from Crown Heights, who were in Montreal for a simcha, had many of their vehicles taken.

These professional thieves appear to be targeting the out of country cars, making them disappear quickly and efficiently.

In one memorable case, the owners of a stolen car with a built in tracker was able to follow the vehicle, later discovering it stashed inside a shipping container and hidden under old mattresses.

To combat these thieves, New York visitors to Montreal are encouraged to use an old fashioned club and or tracking devices.
