Drive By Shootings Spree Injures One Person On S. Marks Ave in Crown Heights

At least one person was injured Thursday night after a drive-by shooter targeted two addresses in Crown Heights.

Police responded to S. Marks near Nostrand Ave around 8:20pm Thursday night where they found a person shot allegedly inside an apartment.

According to a witness, around six shots were fired from a green Jeep vehicle at the window of an apartment at 715 S. Marks Ave. The shooter then continued driving eastbound on St Marks Avenue.

While officers converged on 715 S. Marks, a second shooting was reported at 748 S. Marks, where approximately 10 shots were fired.

The two shooting incidents were confirmed by the police as being connected, and the person injured in the first shooting was taken to the hospital by EMS withnon-life-threateningg injuries.

The damage from the shootings could still be seen Friday morning, with bullet holes in an apartment window and damage to the window’s frame.
