Car Thief Apprehended!

Crown Heights, Brooklyn — Yesterday, Wednesday, a driver parked her car on Union Street between Albany and Troy and as she was walking into a home she turned to check on her car and saw a man smash in the passenger side window, grab a bag and run.

The girl began chasing the perpetrator down Union towards Albany and then into the alleyway between Union and President Streets. Alert residents called 911 and for other to come and assist the girl in her pursuit. The perp was apprehended in middle of the alleyway.

Police arrived on scene a short while after apprehending the perp and immediately placed him under arrest and CrownHeights.info has learned that the perp has an extensive criminal rap sheet and was recently released from prison.

    Why do you call her a “girl”? If she’s old enough to drive she’s probably outgrown that label. And why do you call him a “car thief”? He clearly wasn’t trying to steal the car.

    i actuall ythink she was very brave and smart for chasing him! she helped all of us, by gettign him off the streets! if he was armed, he woudl have pulled a gun on her when she approached him, instead of running!!! you go girl! work well done!

    Give “The Girl’s Friend” a break. She’s her FRIEND! They might as well joke about it once it happened. And nothing is wrong with her; this story, you must admit, DOES make for good storytelling.

    I’m also glad to know what’s important to her: seeing the positive side to the situation. Once this has happened — and b“h, no one was hurt — might as well joke around a bit, and be positive — there’s no use in ”freaking out” right now.

    lol. you guys crack me up. thanks "sticking up for the girls friend" that was very nice of you. and ur right on track with your comment. After this happened my friend had a great time relating the story to me with all the details and action. We are girls, for heavens sake. ANYthing makes for good storytelling. Especially when it includes a guy breaking into your car, you running after him and the guy getting apprehended by the police. And as the guy abveme said so nicely, yes its always better to look on the positive side of things. this girl, besides for having to replace the car window, now has a good story to share with her family at the dinner table. Gam zu letova! and "ME…" just so you know, i dont live in CH and thats what makes your comment so much funnier! And "girls friend!" Of course she was brave and smart! shes my friend after all! plus in case u arent aware of the fact, calling your friend crazy is sometimes a compliment!!!! it was crazy of her to ru after the guy, yes, but that makes it all the more brave!
    Of course the story is good, but that comes secondary to the fact that everyone is safe and sound. After thats resolved, let the fun begin!You guys have to loosen up!
