Man Dead After Being Chased and Shot In Crown Heights Bodega

A man was shot and killed inside a Crown Heights Bodega Thursday night, marking the end if a break in gun related murders in the area.

According to the NYPD, 30-year-old Adiyb Ramkissoon had been running from a gunman when he ducked inside the Bodega on St. Johns Pl around 11:30pm. The gunman followed, cornering Ramkissoon and shooting him multiple times.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The murder of Ramkissoon, who is a Crown Heights native who lives just a block away, is presently under investigation and the murderer still on the loose.

This murder marks the end of what was an approximately one month streak without a gun related murder in the Jewish area of Crown Heights.
