Stolen Car Recovered With Coordination Between Crown Heights, Boro Park, and Flatbush Shomrims

A group of five teenagers found out the hard way that stealing cars doesn’t pay, after they got caught red handed by Shomrim while still inside the car.

The incident began at 311 Rogers Avenue in Crown Heights when the group of five teenagers hopped into a Jewish Owned Black Acura MDX and took off.

Not missing a beat, the owner called Shomrim as he began tracking his car using GPS.

Shomrim volunteers from Crown Heights, Boro Park and Flatbush converged on the car, with the Crown Heights volunteers arriving first, catching the crew red handed.

Realizing the gig was up, the five attempted to run away, with only three of the five being successful.

“Great work by our Volunteers in collaboration with @BPShomrim @FlatbushShomrim volunteers and
@NYPD71Pct, regarding a stolen vehicle that was passing through crownheights resulting in two UNDER. Thank you @NYPD71Pct for the fast response.” Crown Heights Shomrim Tweeted.

The quick action professionalism by the volunteers and was well received by the NYPD’s 71st precinct, who cuffed the duo and placed them under arrest.
