When they can’t prey on the strong, they prey on the weak.

A Jewish boy riding his scooter in Crown Heights became the target for a gang of thugs who decided to steal his electric scooter.

The blood boiling incident took place at 6:26pm on the corner of Carroll Street and Schenectady Ave, on the corner of the Reyim Ahuvim Shul.

Surveillance footage obtained by Crown Heights Shomrim shows the gang of three walking near the corner when the Jewish boy crossed the street behind them.

Suddenly, without warning, one of the thugs threw the boy to the ground and attempted to pull away the electric scooter. The boy fought back valiantly, but ultimately lost his hold on his scooter and the gang ran off.

A passing community member noticed the boy in tears, and after asking what happened, passed on the message to Shomrim.

Two of the thugs involved in the incident were carrying easily identifiable red bags, leading to the possibility of swift action by the NYPD.
