Criminal Arrested For Feces Attack on NYC Subway, Released Without Bail, Then Rearrested For Hate Crime in Crown Heights

A man arrested for an attack on a woman in a Bronx subway station was released without bail Tuesday, only to be rearrested for a 2021 hate crime in Crown Heights.

As reported on CrownHights.info, a Jewish man, proudly wearing a yarmulka in Crown Heights, was targeted last on September 9th, 2021 while walking along Utica Ave near Park Pl.

According to the police, a black, anti-Semitic attacker spat on the 46-year-old Jewish man around 5:30pm and told him “F—ing Jew, I’m going to kill you.”

The attacker then attempted to punch the Jewish victim, but missed.

Pictures of the attacker were published by the NYPD a week later, but until recently, no arrest was made.

On Tuesday, March 1st 2022, Frank Abrokwa, 37, of the Bronx stood in front of a judge over his attack on a woman while in a Bronx Subway. Abrokwa had allegedly smeared feces on the woman in the attack.

Despite attempts by the district Attorney for the judge to set bail, the man was released in his own recignizence. But it was not to be.

NYPD’s Hate Crime task force recognized Abrokwa from pictures circulated last year as one and the same from the September Hate Crime. He was immediately taken into custody. him into custody.
