A 35-year-old victim was slashed in the neck last week Thursday in what is becoming the pandemic of crime in New York City’s Subways.

The victim, identified as Stephen Hanson, had told he Daily News that he had noticed a man who appeared to be stalking a woman at the Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College station in Crown Heights around 8:00pm Thursday night.

The woman had begun to sprint away in an effort to evade the man, so the attacker turned on Hanson.

Cornering Hanson, the man allegedly said “Oh, you’re gonna take the rap for this s***,” before pushing Hanson against a wall and stabbing him.

Thankfully, the slashing Hanson received was not fatal, and he was able to run out of the subway and seek medical care.

The NYPD is investigating the incident.
