Man Arrested After Coming to Police Precinct To Inquire About His Towed Vehicle With Fake Plates

Learning lessons from others is always the best way to learn, so lets learn from this guy.

An owner of a car in New York City made a bad “mistake” when he decided to print his own license plate and attach it to his vehicle.

The temporary fake paper New Jersey license plate got the attention of the police, who promptly had the car impounded and towed.

So here is the lesson, don’t come to the Precinct asking about how you can get it back.

This genius did just that, walking into the NYPD’s 19th Precinct to inquire about his vehicle.

“If your parked car is towed for a fake paper license plate & you come to the precinct to inquire about getting it back, you’ll probably (will definitely) be arrested,” the 19th Precinct wrote on twitter. “It’s absolutely illegal to print your own plate—like this person did. DMV’s are open—drive legal!”

The lesson might be that should your illegal car be towed by the police, inquiring about it may not be the best decision, or perhaps you should learn not to do illegal things like print your own license plate in the first place.
