One Arrested After Crown Heights Resident Recognized Assailant Months Later

In what many call a broken justice system, there is still some justice.

A Jewish Crown Heights resident who was assaulted months previously on June 30th, found himself again Sunday looking at the man who attacked and choked him.

Having located his assailant, the Jewish man called 911 and began following his attacker around southern Crown Heights.

Not wanting to let the man get away this time, he called Crown Heights Shomrim, whom arrived and kept an eye on the perpetrator until the police arrived.

After digging up the months old police report, NYPD officers arrested the man, showing that even months later the NYPD will hold criminals accountable for their actions.

On their twitter page, Crown Heights Shomrim highlighted the success, writing; “This subject assaulted and choked his victim on Jun 30th. Today he was seen by his victim and thanks to the great #EyesAndEars of our vol’s he was placed under arrest by @NYPD67Pct #Shomrim #ItsWhatWeDo #Collaboration”
