Police Make Chaotic Gun Arrest in Crown Heights

A chaotic scene in Crown Heights Monday night as officers from the 77th Precinct arrested a man with a gun on St. Johns and Troy Aves.

The incident went down at a deli near the corner when the man, already being sought by the police for a gun-related crime, entered the Deli, with the officers right behind.

According to the store owner, the man fought with the police, sparking a 10-13 call for assistance which ended with the perp tased and in cuffs.

The incident took place just minutes after a young Jewish boy was struck by a vehicle on Sterling Pl. and Troy Ave, just one block away. Hatzalah treated the boy and transported him to a local hospital.

Despite the close proximity, the two incidents were unrelated.
