Another Shooting In Crown Heights With Man Shot In Leg

With just a few weeks left to the summer, criminals are racking up their numbers with another person shot in Crown Heights.

Around 5:50pm, police responded to a report of a person shot in a car on St Johns Pl between Rochester and Buffalo Aves.

First responders arrived to find a man shot in the leg and quickly began attempting to find the shooter.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

This shooting is just another in a series of shootings that have plagued New York City over the past years. Last night, at least six shots were fired into a building lobby on Carroll Street, and last week, a woman was shot outside a building on Franklin Ave, execution-style.

Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio has been touting declining crime statistics for the city overall.
