She then fled upstairs and dialed 911 and Shomrim who responded within moments and first searched the house and then began canvassing the area in attempt to find the perpetrator. He was described as a male Black around 5”6 and average build, he was believed to have gained entry through a window facing the alleyway.
The woman told CrownHeights.info that the burglar did not show any weapons but he had his hand in his pocket trying to simulate one. She also said that he did not appear to have actually taken anything with him. A police report had been filed.
In case of an emergency never hesitate to call 911 and Shomrim at (718) 774-3333 24/7

OMG the location doesnt get better!
we should have NYPD security cameras on the streets like they do in some flatbush neighborhoods.
criminals see the camera’s and go elsewhere.
they look for soft targets.
thank G-d the family was not harmed.

“Punish the criminal, then call police” policy must be implemented…Like in the past

Leave your outside lights on.They will try some other house in the dark.
You can also put up a DUMMY security camera, that will hopefully scare them away. HASHEM SHOMER.

Now I completely understand why homes are priced at nearly 1,000,000.00 in this neighborhood. I mean after all, would you find a story like this (on a daily and nightly basis as we have here in CH) in Beverly Hills? Of course not! Only in Kan Tzivah! I say enough of this Million dollar homes; it ought to be more accurately 2,000,000.00

For your sake KEEP THE WINDOWS BARRED AND PUT VICIOUS SNARRELING DOGS BY EVERY ENTRANCE!!!!

I think we need to petition for more lenient gun control laws. Living in Florida, if I find someone in my kitchen during the evening, it would be his last break in – ever. (FL laws allow a homeowner to shoot any person breaking and entering)

BH no one was hurt, 9 days and all.
It’s time to stop complaining and expecting the police to do something about it. We have groups of people who are dedicated enough to patrol and try to keep our streets safe (Shomrim). Every man in our community, single or married, should take upon himself to patrol with them at least one night a week to help keep the criminals away. Yelling into cyberspace isn’t going to help anything…

Do what is legally allowed in Brooklyn, and get a GUN!! File the permit, and as long as you don’t have a criminal record, they have to issue you a permit. Then get a gun!! Next time you have an unwelcomed visitor late at night, SHOOT THE SHMUK!! He will never return again.

It’s a good thing that Hashem doesn’t mind working overtime. Tamid einei Hashem aleinu ……. seriously though, what does Hashem expect of us? All these “close calls…” Carroll St break in, car accident on corner of Crown and Bklyn, ad mosai!!!! Each of us should consult with a mashpia and ask how we should “fix our deeds.” Hashem zohl uphitten alla Yidden. We should start checking our tefillin and mezzuzos, let’s not wait for the Elul rush.
