FDNY Comes Under Attack During Last Nights Riots

by CrownHeights.info

During last nights riots that passed relatively gently through Brooklyn and tore through  lower Manhattan, another riot location was generally overlooked.

The south Bronx, a bad area on a good day, saw chaos, arson and looting in what looks to be a beginning for the borough.

During the riots in Manhattan and the Bronx, another uniformed service other than the NYPD became the target.

An FDNY ambulance was targeted in a brick attack that left a large dent in the rear of the ambulance. The EMT’s noted that had the brick hit the window instead of the door, it would have shattered the window and gone through.

Firefighters in the south Bronx responding to a blaze  also came under attack by bricks, damaging Ladder 37 and Battalion 27. The windows were shattered and vehicles damaged.
