SHOMRIM ALERT: Man Attempting To Lure Children In Crown Heights

Crown Heights Shomrim has published an alert notifying the community of a man that has attempted to lure children and approach adults in Crown Heights.

“Please remain alert for the man pictured, described as a tall black man with dreadlocks. He has been reported attempting to lure children and approach adults in Crown Heights.”

Shomrim was first notified of the man after he attempted to lure children into his car around 11:38am on Eastern Parkway near Brooklyn Ave. The man stated that he was a police officer, but thankfully, the children ran away.

Another incident occurred at 12:56pm when the same man approached a middle aged woman, who quickly fled home.

Shomrim was called in both incidents, but the man had fled and was unable to be located despite an extensive search. It is believed that the man lives in the area, and perpetrates these acts only to hide and return again.
