Another Break-in, this time on Eastern Pkwy

Crown Heights, Brooklyn — Early Sunday morning, at about 4 AM, Shomrim got a call from a homeowner stating that he was just in a scuffle with someone who had broken into his home.

The incident happened on Eastern Parkway between Albany and Troy. A Black male broke the basement window and crawled through the narrow opening, he then made his way upstairs while collecting things around the house.

More in the Extended.

At this time the homeowner heard noise in the house and went to check it out. He then bumped into the robber, who after a scuffle with the homeowner ran out.

He immediately called Police and Shomrim, who both arrived within seconds, and began canvassing the area for the robber. The search did not pull up any results and they retreated back to the home.

Police filled out a report and collected evidence.

BH the homeowner was not hurt and nothing was stolen.

CrownHeights.info would like to remind all residents to remain vigilant at all times and if you think someone is in your home, if you see someone suspicious, or if you see someone out of place call Shomrim 24/7 at (718) 774-3333, do not confront him yourself.

My deepest sympathies towards the homeowner but bars particurlarly on basemant windows in the current eviroment is an absolute must!

Just heard a report that this burglar was arrested and released 100 times.
Not enough crime. City wants to hire more cops, judges, undertakers, etc. Insurance companies need more business. Contrast New York (Or America) with the crime rate in Saudia Arabia, etc.The land of the free and the home of the grave.

Robbers BEWARE. I am, B”H, a fully licensed pistol owner. If anyone breaks into my house, survivors will be prosecuted!

Thank you to the NYPD for their fast response but you guys need to be on the street patrolling not in the Police Station, once again thanks so much for coming in seconds in stead of 45 minutes we really appreciate it.

PS it might sound like I’M the owner of the house but I’M not I’M just a simple resident of the shchuna

although i am sure you will have the best intentions in mind when releasing a couple of round on him, if you do happen to kill him, the comment above, posted and recorded on the internet just put you in a courtroom facing manslaughter charges. syug lachachma shthika.

Everyone should get a gun. It is your constitutional right as a citizen of this great country. Practice, practice, practice. When the next target comes through your window it will be just another practice shot. If they hear that every home is armed they will think twice.

  • where are the police?

hello where are the police that are supposed to be patroling around. if the police are not here for protection then what are they here for?
