Shomrim Assist in Recovery of Stolen Strollers

Crown Heights, Brooklyn – Motzoi Shabbos, at around 9 PM, Shomrim received a call from a resident of a building that witnessed a Black Male off steal two baby strollers belonging to neighbors in the building on the corner of Lamont Court and Empire Blvd and that he was following the suspect.

The witness simultaneously called 911. There was quite a number of Shomrim and Police who responded to the incident. Shomrim spotted the suspect who was described as fleeing with the stolen items on a bike and was wearing a white shirt and shorts down Empire towards Albany, and directed police offices attention to him.

When stopped he did not have the stolen strollers in his possession, he discarded them during the short pursuit, it is unknown if police detained the suspect or if he was arrested, a statement from the witness was not officially taken.

The strollers were returned to their owners.
