Pursuit of a Stolen Car ends with a Crash

Brooklyn, NY — Officers from the Brooklyn South Task Force [BSTF] began perusing a silver Nissan Altima that was reported stolen on Empire Blvd at around 9:00pm this evening, the pursuit ended when the Nissan rear ended a red Toyota at a very high rate of speed at the intersection of Empire and Albany. The driver of the Nissan then exited the vehicle and began fleeing on foot, only to be apprehended less then a block away by other police officers.

The Toyota, which had a driver and a passenger sustained significant damage to the rear end and the passenger was complaining of back pains and was transported by FDNY EMS to Kings County Hospital, the driver refused medical attention.

Numerous police officers both in uniform and plainclothes from the BSTF were on scene investigating the incident, which appeared to be more then just a case of a stolen vehicle, they were seen looking under cars with flashlights along the path of the suspects flight.

    I was playing in my building and all of a sudden i see a police car lights and i wondered what happen. and then i saw a crash. that was crazy!

    This was definitely a scary accident. All that was heard was screech, crash, and drag. Looking out the window you can see the guy running down the block!!!
