Car Vandalized Over Shabbos

Brooklyn, NY — On Friday night a car was vandalized on Montgomery Street between Albany and Troy while parked in its owner’s alleyway. Neighbors said that they saw two people running away from the vicinity after hearing a series of pops, which they said sounded like someone was ‘banging on a door’.

The vehicle sustained significant damage including a shattered windshield from what appears to be a hammer, as well as shattered head lamps and rear window. The vandals did not stop at that, they brought along with them two paint cans, one white and one red and poured it all over the exterior and interior of the car.

More pictures in the Extended Article.

Police were called and a report has been filed, the vandals appeared to have a personal matter that they chose to take up in such a fashion with the owner of the vehicle. Police are investigating.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident the owner requests that you please contact me at Webby@CrownHeights.info and the information will be passed along.

I’m not afraid, my friend said, after asking him if he would talk to late-hour noisemakers in the street or in a nearby building.
”And if they don’t stop the loud noise and you call the police because it’s 2AM; then they’ll know you!. There is something to fear!” I said to him.
Perhaps this is what caused this sad situation?

does the car belong to a Jew or not? the reason I am asking is b/c it seems to be a personal issue that some people took out on the car and I think it is relevant

  • SRW

It happened Friday night, no one was able to do anything about it until Motzei Shabbos.
And yes, the car did belong to a Jew. If anyone knows ANYTHING about this- if you saw anyone running from or to the area carrying paint cans, etc, please let someone know so these vandals can be caught. Thank you!

BrookAve,Joey Cicero, YOU ARE ARROGANT FOOLS! When your hour of pain arrives, will others laugh at you? How will you feel?
Why does CrownHeights.info place these negative statement? What good does it do? Traffic?

    To: Boruch Ben Tzvi:
Hey smile, it’s after Yom Kippur. My comment, if you care to READ it was not arrogant as it didn’t address anything involved with the vandalism which I think is horrible. It was mearly a comment that I make on any projest my children bring home. If you happen to be in Manhattan, look at the “art”. Perhaps you will say the same thing. I remain with a roller in my hand. Doing the dining room b4 Pesach. MMM I think cranberry for the walls would be nice. What do you think High Priest?
