• Why

  How can a person NOT be scared after reading a story like this. It wasn’t even so late, 9 pm??? What kind of humans could just beat another? They must really hate us if they could so easily beat people.

  How are we gonna put a stop to this???? Something needs to give … this is only going to get much worse leading up to the summer. If we don’t start making some noise NOW, by august these stories will be once a week.

  You take so many nice pictures for other articles, I don’t know why you post only one picture here, and one that is not of Lincoln Place but some totally other location. My son tells me it happened almost right in front of our house and that he saw and heard some of it through the window. I’m sorry I wasn’t home at the time to come to the yungerman’s aid. Car windows being broken in the middle of the night is common on the block, but attacks on people are rare, and of the non-Jews who live on the block they are friendly and likely would have come to the yungerman’s aid too had they been present. My son says the muggers hit the yungerman while he was already down and they were laughing while they did. The perpetrators then ran away when they saw a van approaching.

  Rabbi Lieder from Ahavas Chesed-
  is an angel.
  We called him as soon as we found out that he was being taken to Kings County. He came a few minutes later, was there with him, cutting him through all the lines of the emergency room and Boruch Hashem he was able to come home just 2 hours later. If not for Rabbi Lieder, he would have been there until 7:00 in the morning.

  correction to the story-
  they threw him down, punched him in the eye, asked for his money, he said to take it, they put their hand in his pocket but for some miracle, couldn’t find it!
  at that exact moment, a jewish couple was driving down the block and saw what was going on, they backed up and stopped, and the shvartzehs ran away-
  Boruch Hashem, it was a big miracle!

  Thanks G-d a young couple were driving by as the youngerman was being beaten. They slowed their car, and the muggers ran away. G-d only knows what could have happened.

  We also must thank Rabbi Leider- an angel- who came immediately to the Kingsbrook ER, and rushed the Youngerman to get a CT Scan, and eye exam. Rather than waiting in the ER for the usual 6 hours, it took only one and a half our. Then Rabbi Leider drove him home to his worried wife and kids. Thank you Rabbi Leider of Ahavas Chesed. G-d Bless you and you organization.

  We must call 311 and complain about this nasty precint ,in Other communities they dont let incodents go away that fast .Our police reports get swepped under the carpet.DOnt leave teh job to someone else, Call NOW. Support Shomrim. IT is also advisable to let your children know to walk home in groups late at night .IT IS FOR THIER OWN SAFETY.

  I don’t think walking in groups is a full solution because
  1- you can’t always go somewhere with a group
  2- last year, I remember seeing mugging reports on this website that ivolved groups of MEN. If they start up with GROUPS of MEN, then the rest is easy.

  I think someone should organize a demonstration. NOW!!! I think we should demand police on every street corner, not just on Kingston Ave. After the death of R’ Klein, police tanks were all over Kingston Avenue. What about now – do we have to wait c’v for something drastic c”v? No way.

  We want police @ all the corners!!! No 2 ways about it. & if they won’t give it to us, let us demenstrate outside to police station.

  I know it says file photo, but that block of Lincoln place is a nice, very quiet block of one hundred plus year old, one and two family homes. The street is so narrow that you can only park on one side. There are no big buildings on the block, unlike the block shown in the file photo you used. If anyone wants to see the real Lincoln Place, they can go to your file photos from December 18, 2005 when a house next door to mine burnt down. I believe it was in front of that same house that the recent assault took place.

  It’s a good idea for every single Jew, male and female, to obtain training at least in the martial arts for self protection and saving our own lives. Better able to defend ourselves at a moment’s notice!

  the same thing happened to me in january, on eastern pkwy and troy the difference is it was 4:30 in the afternoon a black guy folowed me a couple paces so i crossed in to the median so he just maced me in the face and hit me on the head with a ratchet wrench i woke up in the ambulance a little bit later with a gash on my forehead i got 7 stitches at kings county and a nice scar to show off for the rest of my life. crown heights is great no? well all there is to say is zul zayn a kapara it could of been worse…..be careful its a cold cruel world out there…
