Thieves Steal Packages from Delivery Truck, Store
Wednesday evening, two thieves approached a UPS delivery truck on Albany Avenue and stole a package off the back of it.
The quick-witted driver noticed the package missing and gave chase to the perpetrators, successfully retrieving it.
A short while later, one of the thieves went across the street to the Koshertown supermarket and stole a box of goods from the storage area.
The store’s manager chased down the thief, all while filming the encounter on his cell phone. By the time he caught up to him – down Albany all the way to East New York Ave. – the perpetrator had ditched the box of goods.
When the store manager confronted the thief and threatened to call the police, the man pulled out a switchblade, at which point the store manager stopped chasing him and allowed him to escape.
The store manager then went down to the 71st Precinct to file a police report.

This has been happening for years, even to US Postal trucks.

This guy with the cell phone needs more practice running and shooting video at the same time if he ever hope to win a videography award.
chaim
they walked off with 3 boxes and only one came back
If this was in Israel....
I would say it was a furious resident who has waited months for a package then had to go and rummage through thousands till he found his! That is what my town had to do & someone actually spotted a package of mine & took it home for me!
Next time UPS – don’t be so lazy, drop down the back of the truck.
