Shooting Interrupts Shabbos Afternoon Prayers

Congregants of Frankel Shul – located on President St. between Utica and Rochester Ave. – were interrupted amid their Shabbos afternoon prayers when gun shots rang out right outside the Shul where the children were playing.

The Mispalelim ran out to make sure everyone was OK, and B”H they were. A car parked not far from the Shul had its windows shot out.

Police arrived at the scene not long after, but were unable to catch the culprit.

This incident follows a similar one on Friday afternoon, when shots were fired at around 4:00pm only two blocks away – on President St. between Troy and Schenectady Ave. A Jewish resident told CrownHeights.info that the gunman ran right past her.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant during this out-of-control summer crime spree in our neighborhood. If you see any suspicious activity please call Shomrim immediately at 718-774-3333.

bloomberg is too busy banning coke and what not to pay attention to gun control….what’s with him anyway?

  • video surveillance worked

I have an office on the block – and my cameras caught the perp.
The detectives took the info today.

People – if at all possible, get video surveillance.

  • Yeah Bloomberg The Best Mayor!

One minute! Bloomberg has everything under control. There is no creme in Brooklyn! We need soda control fat control. Soon we will be told who to marry and when to go to sleep

  • Mike Bloomberg

    It’s not the gunman’s fault.

His mother fed him formula and 20oz cups of soda when he was a kid

  • and i thought

ahavas yisroel was of utmost importance but dont see much of that around here either..

  • Not suprised!

B”h no one was hurt but this is getting ridiculous. Shoot outs nearly everyday. I used to live on union and troy – aka wear their were drug deals going down all the time in the apartment on the corner – consequently i heard gun shots on a daily basis. will this ever stop?

  • Mad Mayor Mike

No salt or soda or transfat, bike lanes everywhere, so who cares if Brooklyn & CH = Wild West?

I hope he knows what his legacy will be.

Are you saying that before CAY was established, CH was not yet in the gutter?????

    Where have you been?

  • Critical of New York Judges

#1: You do not understand that in Bloomberg’s city the following is true; yes it is gun free but the criminals have special mayorality permits to use them. If a law-abidiing citizen used a gun to protect his family and his self, this a most henious crime according to Bloomberg’s mayorial policies.
#6: so waht, Bloomberg’s liberal judges will just say naughty naughty.
Once again, Brooklyn has proven time again that it is not a safe place to live or to raise a family
You think the next mayor will be any different???
