Yesterday evening at about 7:30pm a bochur was down Albany Ave. near the corner of President St. while speaking on his cell phone. Suddenly, he was jumped by two African-American males, one of whom snatched the phone out of his hand.

Another Phone Snatched, Cops Respond in Full Force

Yesterday evening at about 7:30pm a bochur was down Albany Ave. near the corner of President St. while speaking on his cell phone. Suddenly, he was jumped by two African-American males, one of whom snatched the phone out of his hand.

The perpetrator and his accomplice then fled in separate directions, one down Albany Ave. and the other Down President St.

Several passersby saw what happened and gave chase to the muggers; they contacted Shomrim, who immediately notified the police.

Dozens of Shomrim volunteers and police officers rushed to the scene, and tried to find the thieves. Unfortunately, the muggers were able to elude their pursuers.

The cops then took the victim in a squad car and canvassed the area to see if they could spot one of the perpetrators, but to no avail.

They filed a criminal report, and assured the victim that if there were any leads, they would do what they can to apprehend the criminals.

    2. the perp was also spotted walking into 455 Utica ave to the 4th floor of the building, but the cops refused to go in.

      He’s already told us the son he hasn’t got would have been a worthless hoodlum like Trayvon Martin. So yes, this perp could have been President Choom’s son too.

      Who is the “we” that ate going to see where the are going in realtime? And What happens when they run down the block where the cameras end?

      The concept is good but not sure about the application. Also the animals are not afraid of cameras and will just pull their “tichels” the wear over their faces. And even if not, they all look the same especially at night.

    Cops are not allowed to follow someone into a private building without warrant. It’s time you learned the law. This is for our own protection and upholding our privacy rights. Yes, you win some/ you lose some because of it- but think of what’s better in the long run.

      the cops can enter a home without a warrent when there are exigent eircumstances like the fleeing of a suspect

      Cops ARE allowed to follow and enter a private building when in “hot pursuit” of a suspect. Its time YOU learned the law.

    The solution is simple, get some phones with tracking applications. Set up some decoys to walk around and get their phones taken. Use the tracking to arrest and prosecute the criminals. Get some publicity to the campaign in the area .

      That Obama sticks up for every chale’de that got what he deserved saying that any one of them could have been his son – if he had a son. So too with the chayas in our neighborhood — they could be Obama’s sons — if he had son’s.
