Two Arrested After Trespassing in Vacant Home

A man and woman were arrested after they were found inside a vacant home on Eastern Parkway. Shomrim apprehended the pair after received a call from a relative of the owner.

The incident occurred Tuesday at around 4:30pm on Eastern Parkway and New York Avenue. A relative of the homeowner went to the house to pick some things up and was surprised to find the duo in the building.

The home, which is in the process of being renovated, was locked up and no one was supposed to be inside, so he called Shomrim.

Upon arriving on scene the man immediately began explaining how some ‘Jewish guy’ hired him to clean up, and even came up with phone numbers for different people – none of them valid numbers – to supposedly back his story up. But according to the homeowner he did not hired them.

Shomrim convinced the man and the woman to stick around while they ‘figured it out’, and while they waited Shomrim called the police.

After the police arrived and heard the story they placed the man and women under arrest for trespassing, and will probably be adding additional charges later.
