High School Kid Arrested After Shoplifting on Kingston

A 16-year-old high school kid was arrested after he was caught stealing an umbrella from a Kingston Avenue store. A group of angry shopkeepers apprehended the thug and with the help of Shomrim he was arrested.

The incident unfolded at around 2:30pm when the owner of Sterling Electronics was seen chasing after a group of teenagers, others joined in the chase and managed to stop the suspect off the corner of Kingston and Crown.

The suspect was accused of stealing an umbrella. The store owner easily identified the thief and with the help of other storekeepers detained him until police arrived.

A large crowd of other teens, who were friends of the suspect, and other shopkeepers and passeresby quickly formed, and the Shomrim hotline received many calls about the commotion. A number of volunteers were dispatched to the scene and police were called.

With the situation quickly getting out of hand other people attempted to ‘free’ the thief, Shomrim stepped in and held the crowd back. “He did something wrong and now he will pay the price” a Shomrim volunteer head saying, with agitator shouting back “he is just a kid, you only doing this because he is Black.”

Police arrived just as the situation was about to boil-over, and after speaking to the owner of Sterling they placed the 16-year-old under arrest from shoplifting.

    Maybe the police should visit that kid’s high school & have several officers (black, hispanic, and caucasian) inform the little darlings that stealing is not ok no matter the color of the person’s skin!
    They did that in one predominantly black school that I know of & my friend who teaches there said the smerks disappeared from the faces when the big, burly black cop informed the kids that he had zero tolerance for unlawful behavior, especially from blacks as that behavior only fueled the popular concept that “all black kids are hoodlums”.

      Unfortunately you can find this in the Jewish community aswell.

      Three years ago a group of corrupt individuals who have been stealing millions from the community attempted to have six innocent Jews (shomrim six) jailed for 15+ years. They did so to….1) distract the community.
      2) create an “enemy” in the community.

      Etc…etc…

      All this just so they can continue to fill their greedy pockets.

      I’m more fearful of what our “fellow Jews” are willing to do to get what they want.

    He should wear a yechi kippa, put on a yellow pin and claim to be from the meshichistim.once he does all the above, Chanina Sperlin and Co. Will get straght to work and make every effert to have charges promply dropped.

    They are all over the place because of the JCM dinner. That’s more important (free food!) than arresting these ganavim.

    You should thank everyone for arresting this kid, so save him from doing a bigger crime next and ruining his life completely.

    The livelihood of another Jew is important to the rest of us. And if you think he and everyone he tells about it won’t do it again and worse, you are painfully naive. They steal from a Jew because they want to steal from Jews, it is happening every day now and Crown Heights has become one of the most dangerous neighbor hoods to live in because NO-ONE SAYS NO when the crime is against a Jew.

      Google Crown Heights and look at the borders. They don’t steal in only one section of Crown Heights.

    The guy deserved to be arrested, since he stole something, even though was a mere umbrella. His cry baby supporters were probably the ones who put him to it, then played the race card when he was apprehended and arrested!

    A thief is a thief they must leave Crownheights. Give them a restraining order so that they cannot come back to the store.
