its just horrific that their children have to have memories of their “joyus occasions” by remembering gunshots, robberies, and murders every single time this date comes.
I know that there are honest people there who want to just enjoy their culture, but its so sad. Why isnt anyone making any changes to help this? they should be able to have a parade and no suffering. what are their leaders (religious and political) doing for this??????

I feel like it is so much mesiros nefesh to live in this neighborhood, esp on the outskirts. I hope that it is worth something to klal yisrael, Hashem, and the Rebbe.

You should link this to your other article of the reports from the previous night.
As thorough as this is it’s still not complete. There were sirens and helicopters going the whole day. A large incident on Schenectady between Crown & Montgomery hasn’t been reported. Was the shooting mentioned in the comments of the previous article on the list?
There were also alot of sirens today.

its all brauns fault
Facts
I hope there were still enough cops to give traffic tickets in CH while this was going on.

cant wait for next year!! i think the shooting and chaos was for the 20 year riots anniversary
SHOCKED at CH.INFO!!!!!!
um….why in the world do we need to know this? especially knowing that young kids read this every day – why do THEY need to know this? especially the last event at 3:45! not saying to lock our kids up for them not to know anything, but some things should be censored on Lubavitch Cites!!!!!!
Jewish dude
Jews are allowed to carry firearms including pistols and revolvers. Rebbe had a ruling that must be followed by all orthodox Jews. Never a holocaust again by goy.
A real role model
Nothing like a black role model president to instill pride and civility among his law abiding black community.

#10, what are you talking about? What ruling?

we really rocked this year, gave crown heights a lot of media coverage can’t for next years show!
You insult YOU when insulting others!
#11—-I’m not sure what you are trying to say, but I sense it’s some kind of pitiful attempt to bring the president and a racial comment into the mix of the CH situation at the parade. I think that’s pretty farfetched and unnecessary….and racist. You’ve not made a reasonable point or a sensible comparison, in my opinion. You’ve just made a cheap, unrelated shot at both. I wouldn’t ordinarily take time to comment in this negative way, but my sensibilities are highly offended by your racism and generalization. I am a Jew, and I take offense to prejudice of ANY kind. I believe I have been sensitized through my own reference points and experience with antisemitism. I will not intentionally impose this evil prejudice on ANYONE. Why comment so sarcastically, insensitively, and unfairly? I am quite sure the president is NOT proud of those people, regardless of their race! Quite Sure. I just reread your comment, and there’s just something about it that feels mean spirited and ugly. Sorry.
Don-t talk that way!
#11, Ptooey! Doesn’t sound nice. Doesn’t make sense to me. Bad taste in my mouth from the way you expressed yourself. Ptooey! Toxic. Ptooey!

#9 Your right, crownheights.info should not alarm/warn the community and their dear children about the shootings, killings, stabbings and rapings that goes on in their home streets on this day… It’s probably better off they are not warned to keep them and their children off the streets when “degenerates” go on shooting sprees on their block. VERY SMART #9 Very wise comment you got there.
THANK YOU crownheights.info! for the heads up and keep it rolling!
Ban the Parade
I think the community should get together to ban this parade from happening again, it’s just getting too dangerous. Who takes responsibility for all the killing and crimes? Why invite this violence into the community? don’t we have our share?
and to #9, what are you talking about??? hiding this information means no public outrage, means it will keep happening. Letting people know means they can take action, try to prevent this from happening again, or if that doesn’t happen, perhaps leaving ny on the day of the parade….. but not to report it? are you insane?
against gun violence
I saw this on another site:
CHCA, Council Member Letitia James and Save Our Streets are sponsoring a press conference to address the shootings Monday, gun violence in our community and to support the families of those who died. New Yorkers Against Gun Violence will be there along with other elected officials.
Park Place & Franklin Avenue
Thursday 9/8 at 6PM

#18, what’s so special about violence using guns as opposed to violence that uses other means? The answer is that Letitia James isn’t against the violence but against the guns. She’s an enemy of the fundamental human rights protected by the United States Constitution which she swore to uphold.

the only way to stop this from occuring again–as it has done in numerous past times–is to ban the b=prade and gathering in this neighborhood and move it to fifth avenue with massive police presence; this type of event does not belong in Crown heights.

Seriously, i cant believe you just said that! Grow up! Thats reality! My friend and i were caught in the middle of a shoot out – we were 10 feet away from the man firing the gun!!!

Please I’m a kid and I know about that kind of things b/c our world is crazy! What if Chas V’sholom I were to be kidnapped half of the people will do something to that affect and I would be wondering what the heck is going on! If my mother were to hide it from me I would be wondering what it is b/c the outside world could have it anywhere! Most of the time kids will find out before their parents want them to and thats just life!!! GET USED TO IT!!
Wish there was more info on all the violence!!

I think everyone that goes to the parade they should check them to see if they have any sort of a weapon on them.

Hello, this parade has been happening for YEARS! What does Obama have to do with it?? Stop being ignorant.

I’m sorry but I fail to understand the logic in moving the violent parade from one neighborhood to another? If people are getting shot in Crown Heights as a result of the parade what makes you think people won’t be shot on 5th Ave due to the parade? The problem is not moving the location or debating “where it belongs” but rather controlling the crowd. If we can get Police Officers to volunteer and throw themselves at overtime to police the streets for the anniversary of 9/11 I’m pretty sure we can stir up a few extra body’s to better protect the paraders and innocent bystanders.
