Empire Shteibel, Kolel Vandalized – Pushkas Stolen
Charity boxes in Shuls around Crown Heights were vandalized and stolen over the last week and the suspected culprit has been apprehended and hospitalized.
Over the last week a troubled individual broke into the offices at the Kollel on Kingston Avenue and stole loose change and Tzedakah boxes, he also broke into Empire Shtibel twice taking the Hatzalah Pushka and returning later to break into the wall mounted Pushka as well.
Working together, Hatzalah and Shomrim apprehended the culprit and had him hospitalized in hopes of getting him the medical treatment he needed.
how long
it’ll take a few days till he gets released and back on the streets?? then what hope he learns his leason?
someone
this Jewish guy is a drug addict and needs serious intervention, if he gets out he’ll just pick up where he left off. I recommend a forced long-term hospitalization.
chaim itches
he broke into the kolel also and many other places he is out again today i saw him on kingston he needs to be sent far away on a one way ticket…
Double Standard
When a Jew does this do we seek to hospitalize him, and when a goy does it we seek the death penalty.
You gotta feel for them
Lets not point fingers at any one person, there are a least a half dozen of these people in Crown Heights, they all need help, there is no organization that can really help long term. Drugs is an addiction that is not often conquered until death. Just look at the statistics. Obamacare will not make this any better and it is a growing crisis in America, not just Crown Heights.
hospitalized
who else read this and thought it meant they caught him and beat him up? hehe
Bigby
to # 6 that’s what I was thinking. Which curb did he trip over?
#6&7
for once someone with a real solution
JP
That was put up in memory of my mother. I see this guy walking the streets he’ll regret the day he came out!
To JP
Think about how your mother would want you to react to an individual who is not all the way there – in honor of her memory. It can be put up again, but you wouldn’t be able to ‘take away’ whatever you have in mind to do to this guy.
Jewish dude
When there is no proof don’t talk bad about fellow yid den. Only a Rabbi make this ruling not people with no proof. where you there ? Has he been convicted by Beth din court?
