Hate Crime on Kingston: Shomrim Scooter Vandalized

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A Shomrim scooter was vandalized last night by an unknown person who spray painted a racial slur against Jews on both side of the vehicle. A passing police captain spotted the incident this morning and called it in.

Detectives and ranking police officers were at the corner of Kingston Avenue and Carroll Street, which is where one of the many Shomrim scooters are regularly parked, inspecting the damage and searching for surveillance footage that would have captured the perpetrator.

“My scooter has been fiddled with before, but never was it graffitied… like this” said the Shomrim volunteer who operates the scooter.

Police are investigating the incident as a hate crime.

maybe, if you reach out to the community, this stuff won’t happen. keep isolating the jewish from the goy and it’s a no brainer this will continue. btw i’ll bet a dollar that the police vandalized the scooter….jmo

  • This shoul never be cleaned

you have to drive it like this and every person in New York will see the big Accomplishment of the bigest loser PETER (napoleon) Simonneti

  • Don-t sugarcoat this

You know Eli, we can always do better

But this is a blatant bias crime that comes from an upbringing of Anti-semitism

Please don’t try to sugarcoat it. (they certainly don’t)

They need to prosecuted as hate-crime offenders. Especially now, since it is the beginning of summer.

Last summer was relatively quiet ONLY because Kelly flooded CH with cops and surveillance units on every corner

  • tzneis parorl fails to patrol properly

yea lets put cameras up …. that wont make a police state ……. Im confused as to my on the the concerned parents looking out for a beth rivka girl whose non-tznies didn’t see who did it !!! and to think I thought THEY were protecting our community from out side evils !!!

  • Mobilize for the future

We should put cameras all around our neighborhood and have a closed circuit observation 24 hours a day. The residents can donate the money for the projects initiation and then pay a monthly fee to keep up. Shomrim can volunteer and respond to disturbances on camera. Since us the Jews own most of the buildings and houses in the area it will be very easy to set up, we can place cameras between Nostrand to Utica and Lincoln to Maple. Then we wont need the cops at all and crown heights will become the super safest neighborhood in NY

#2s comments remind me of Marty Markowitz’s letter to the community after the riots. IF ONLY we would reach out to the black community, he said, if only we would give of our resources to them (!), then things would be better… Wrong Marty! It doesn’t matter if Jews are rich or poor, pious or assimilated etc. There are not REASONS for anti-semitism, there are EXCUSES!

Our community was accused of being “aloof” and “insular” in the press following the riots, and that’s why we were hated. And in Germany prior to World War II, one of the most assimilated Jewish communities with interrmarraige etc.? When Jews were the very opposite of “isolated” from the goyim?!

There was recently graffiti on the Beis Rivka Lefferts building “Heil Hitla”, and swatstikas and related vile anti-semetic grafitti on the sidewalk by Lefferts Park. In both cases in chalk, likely done by young blacks. They are getting this from somewhere. Ironic, since if Chas V’Shalom the Germans had won World War II and conquered America they would’ve made the blacks into slaves, if not dog food…

  • VAHAVTA LREIACHA KAMOCHA

We are too busy fighting with each other. We have to remeber that we are all brothers and that the goyim hate us

  • shaul

why are the sides of the shomrim car unmarked to begin with? it generally is marked…

  • osama was rich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

learn from the dreyfus case. jews are not accepted because their not acceptable!!! wrong !!!!!!!!! jews are not accepted because excepting chasidei oomos haolom eisav hates yakov

  • Think it through.

#9~ It isn’t so easy to get people to just donate. Personally. I think it would be easier to negotiate access to the traffic cameras already in place, probably less expensive as well.

This scooter used to be marked, but a few weeks ago a Yid crashed into it when it was parked. It had just been repaired and was waiting to be restickered.

I heard that despite the thousands of dollars in damage Shomrim didn’t go after the yid and just swallowed the cost of the repair.

The only reason such a thing can happen is when police denigrate Shomrim the way they do, persecuting and ticketing them for some type of political gain, it opens the door for these types of crime, and even worse in the future C”V, to happen.

At least it wasn’t your personal property. If you live in CH and you don’t conform with the religious community you’ll be harassed and they’ll damage your property. Slash your tires, break your mirrors, key your car, etc.

Someone may call the vigilantes regardless of your race if your not wearing the uniform: black hat, white shirt, black jacket, beard – as if it were a prerequisit to be in the area. If you don’t conform you’ll be illegally confronted by religous vigilantes as if you don’t have a legal right to walk down a public street in NYC. I’m sorry but this isn’t a theocratic state. If that’s what you want move to Iran.

Maybe it had something to do with that cops kid that got beat up?
