Crime Is Up In All Major Categories in the 71st Precinct
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — As we enter the 2nd quarter of this year a plethora of article touting dramatic drops in shooting and homicides in New York City have been release, but a closer examination shows that the 71st Precinct scored major increases in all major crime categories, with some scoring between a 22% and 31% spike.
In the year to date category the NYPD logged two murders, compared to none at this time last year, five rapes compared to four last year, while robbery and felony assaults took significantly higher spikes, 66 versus 54 and 76 versus 58.
Burglary, grand larceny, and grand larceny auto all recorded drops. With the report noting an overall drop of 6% in crime.
The police department weathered a storm of criticism after being accused of ‘watering down’ crime reports in order to record lower crime rates, claims which were backed up with audio recordings made by officers. The result was a number of commanders and supervisors being reassigned and relocated.
A spokesperson for the Crown Heights division of Shomrim further accused the 71st precinct of intentionally mishandling incidents in which they were called on for help. “We had a guy for passing counterfeit money – a major crime, but police intentionally bungled it and even kept the alleged money, never returning it to the store.” he said, adding that there were a number of bike thefts and trespassing cases with the department was unwilling to make arrests.
But its not only Shomrim that police has been mishandling – for whatever perceived political ends – an recent incident involving Reb Yisroel Shemtov, where a teen attempted to mug him while threatening him as if he had a gun – a class A misdemeanor on its own, instead police classified it as harassment – a violation which is not a crime.
“A police officer does what he is told to do and not what he wants” said a police source who wished to remain anonymous, adding “all orders come from the top, the sergeants, the lieutenants, the captains, and the commanding officers.”
In each of the cases complaints were filed with the Civilian Complaint Review Board and so far there has been no action or remedy.
Calls for comment from the 71st Precinct went answered.

Time for new command
Its time for a new inspector.
The current inspector has been tainted with has towards certain individuals and organizations. This inspector is bias and can not serve this community in a just manner.

Precint as well as borough and Task Force command needs a shake up — We are well into the 21st century and these bozos are still relying on techniques that were used in the 70’s & 80’s when they were in the streets…

After all, this is New york where Bloomberg is more concerned about his personal immage so he can run for President and we know that he favors criminals over citizens and the judges are so liberal that theydo not throw the book at the criminals who should be of the streets.
