At around 10:45pm on President between Kingston and Brooklyn a Mexican worker who resides at the construction site next to the school on the corner of Brooklyn Ave and protects the site, entered the house, which is easily accessible, and by his account was jumped by one or two Black males, and was assaulted and robbed.
The Mexican worker, not knowing a word of English, made his way stumbling down Kingston Ave to Kol-Tuv where he knew a worker who he told what had happened and he in turn called police. Response time was instant, 7 police cars showed up and began searching the house which turned up nothing. When taking the statement from the victim police officers noticed the man smelled of alcohol and began questioning if this whole incident even took place. Just to be sure they took him around for a canvass of the area for the two alleged Black males, which yielded no results either.

Officers then took him down to the Precinct where they filed out a report. A point to note is that at the time of the alleged assault and robbery there was an officer posted on the corner of Brooklyn and President.

How about praising the cops for their hard work and protecting the community? All everyone on here knows how to do is make fun of the cops and bash them constantly. The police officers cant be everywhere at once. Its laughabale that you talk crap on here when you know full well that the police bend over backwards. Instead of this arrogant attitude , how about saying thanks for a very ungrateful job that the officers have. Though, nothing is 100 percent, the officers of the 71 precinct do a great job.
yupi
very very important story, thank you so much for posting it.

to Demon:
Your name says where you belong!
Its nice to see that for a drunk guy, although they dought his story, they take it serious, and although they get the call way after the guys deffinitly left, they rush right over. the 71st preceint deserves a pat on the back, for responding quickly to a non jewish call. thats the maileh of having mexican workers in CH.
re: demon
yep, nypd is great. …as soon as they heard the victim wasnt jewish we had an immediate response of 7 cars! when was the last time a jew got such a response…? hmmm…
confused
When it happens to a yid, everyone is all angery; when it happens to a goy?
"alleged attack"
BigBen
To ShinDaled and confucsed;
both of you can go to H–L. That’s where you belong. The cops are paid to do this job with out tax money. So don’t give me this "thankless job" bull. You can’t do this job right or you want "thanks" for your job go try another line of work. I can tell one of you is a jew hater and the other is a flaming liberal.
re: demon & confused...
Demon wrote "don’t bash cops" the problem is there are not enough cops. when you keep having incidents repeatedly the place should be crawling with cops. perhaps even undercover cops disguised as chasidim perhaps, I had my car broken into and am still waiting for a report on the incident. The precinct seems too busy to write up a report.
to confused, if you read the report carefully you will see that it is the police that labeled it "alledged attack" and their reason was because the man smelled from alcohol.
people should be calling the maayors office and filing complaints until they give us more police.
demon
The 71 does not care if the person is jewish or not..someone is in trouble..they repsond period…For some of you crybabies that want to make it a jewish /non jewish issue…..shame on you… is this best the best you have eliezer?
Eliezer
re: confused
nobody is talking about the goy being attacked. they are talking about the polices response to it. the only people that dought the story, were the cops themselves.
re demon
and i’m sure you have some evidence that you’d like to show us to back up that preposterous statement…?!?! because im sure you know i can give you a long list that shows otherwise…
lny
the 71 pct is only able to do 71% of the job, if you want 100% move to qweens to the 100pct
what is this insanity?!!?!??!
sometimes the cops respond and sometimes they dont, it happens all over….. i do agree that sending 7 patrol cars is absolutely insane! for one guy!?!?!?!? well thatz CH for ya….. until then i do agree that we should take action and go to the mayor.
An open mind
ive had first hand experience how the cops at precinct 71 behave twords jew. last week my sisters purse was stolen. There happened to be a policeman in the store next to ours. Once i told him it was stolen he was pleasent and came into the store. As soon as he asked me one question his attitude changed to a very nasty one. What was the question that brought this on? He asked me, was she (the theif) jewish? i said no African american. As soon as o had told him that he turned on me as if i was the perpretrator not the victem. So tell me now, who are the police really protecting? Why was a know car theif let back on the street after many previous strikes. Explain to me why people can be robbed in broad day light, and then tell me how they are doing their jobs
WANTED: More Protection
Last night at around 8:30 PM it looked "really good" when there were police at a lot of corners however an hour later the streets were once again deserted. These police are not worh much if they’re going to be there for an hour or two. We need them there 24/7! Later last night at around 10:30 my father was walking on President St. bet. Kingston and Albany and luckily he realized that 2 blacks began to follow him signaling to 3 other blacks across the street to come. My father understood what was going on and made a smart move to turn back to the direction he was coming from. At that point the blacks were all together. My father saw 2 police at the corner and told them what happened. The police wanted to know if they hurt him and they made a whole joke out of it! They seriously DO NOT CARE!!!

re demon (2):
look at all of webbys reports, see how many times the police took 20 minutes and more to respond when a jew is held up. or how many times they didnt want to write up reports. your denying the facts! i personally know people that had such problems from the police. we shouldnt wish such things on anyone, but until it happens to you, you’ll bury your head in the ground, and say that we are screaming for no reason.
Your afraid to speak up, and say the truth. afraid that the world will say: jews, always claiming racisim. but its true, we are all feeling it. so now in tishrei, stand by your family (chasidim ein mishpocho), and open your eyes. wake up and smell the coffee.
what more proof do you want? that the cops should tell you i cant come because you’re jewish?! the world is not as great as you’re trying to convince yourself it is.
read all the backlog of the violence thats been going on, and then come back to me and say it aint so!
not blind
eliezer, the word is doubt.(no offense)
to: DEMON i think your response is a little harsh in the light of the fact that police are slow to respond, regardless of if its jews or not!
the job of a police officer is not to get thanked for it, we pay taxes for a reason! they are not volunteers like shomrim, their job is thankless becouse they get paid for it, just like me or you doing the 9-5 (if you work)
it’s their job to respond immediately to a call that may or may not be a threat! so dont give me a bunch of bs how they do a wonderfull job, when you know full well that ain’t the truth!
i am not saying that we should not say thank you, in fact when they show up show a little appreciation that they are there, maybe the next time they will show up faster.
so yes thank them for showing up but dont applaud them for doing a great job when it is quite obvious that they are not!
shalom
whats the piont of arguing its a matter of oppinoin
Eliezer
to not blind:
thanks. it was a typo. i meant doubted.

You are all so strange. You are so surprised of anti-Semitism in police. Why it should be differ of other places? If they see on TV as Israeli police brutally acts against the certain part of the Jewish nation that is good call to all goim. You should understand – our defense in our own hands. There is two kind of life position. The position of the League of Defense of Jews (means the resistance to any act against Jews) and the position of others (means ‘ostrich defense’ – dig the head into the sand). I know one man in Borough Park – he was in the Jewish resistance movement in the middle of Europe since 1938 till 1945. You can read his book ‘The Youngest Partisan”. The one of the leaders of this resistance, Rabi Waxmandel (blessed memory) survived and also leaved in Borough Park. Those people were able to save from Nazi’s Gehame Shutz Police (Gestapo) tens of thousands Jews, because they did not talk too much, but was acting physically with weapons and money in their hands. Some time with the weapon, some time with money. They were very successful and Ha-Shem blessed them, because they made the vessels for the Brochos. The Holly One Blessed is always with us when we are acting in behalf of Jews.

In defense of the NYPD and Demon, I think you have some nerve saying that a police officers job should be thankless. These men and women put their lives on the line everyday to protect the citizens of our fine city. I think it is in very poor judgment for you to make such a comment. Let me ask you if your home is burglarized this evening who are you going to call? My guess the police.
You make mention of your "job" let me again ask when you go to work at 9am do you face danger? Does your family pray you will return safely home? They do a dangerous job for very little money that obvious you do not have the guts or integrity to do. NEVER judge a man until you have walked in his shoes! In all fairness to you, we live in America to be free and to be able to speak our minds, but it is people like YOU who take for granted of the blanket of freedom and security you are able to sleep under due in fact to these "volunteers" as you called them. All around the world so many do not have the freedom to speak their opinions aloud, you have this gift and all you can speak is hatred and disrespect ..very shameful.
To he who speaks of violence: Living in this community we count on the bravery of the men and women of the NYPD. You truly should be ashamed of yourself for making such comments speaking violence against the police. You seem to be under the illusion you are the voice of the Jewish community and you are very much not. You preach hate and it is words like yours that divides a community instead of bringing peace. You speak of God as if he condones hate and violence, perhaps you need to pray for God to give you insight because your judgment is clouded.
With your words of violence and disrespect, you are no better then those who speak poorly about us as a people. In my opinion your a disgrace to this community for making such a comments, shame on you!
Why does this have to be a Jewish/ non Jewish issue? When we call the police for help, the 911 operator sends them to the home of the "issue." There is no "red light" on the phone to indicate people’s race or religion. You are acting foolish and using being a Jew as an excuse for your hatred and ignorance, when such is done you disrespect those who have been lost by the power of hate. I am sure now that you will retaliate with words of malice towards my comments and I invite you. I am a survivor, I survived the hate of a demonic leader and nation I can survive the disrespectful words of those who lack sense in my own community. Although, I enjoyed your history lesson I am very much unamused, I lived history you can only speak of it and use it not as a lesson but as a weapon.
I have raised my children in this community and now my grandchildren and I thank Demon and him comrades for keeping us safe and ask them please do not judge all of us based on the words of the ignorant few.

The problem is that the average police officer does want to do his job but he is sometimes kept back by the following:
1) Lack of manpower. There are just not enough cops to go around in our part of CH – and because the surrounding streets are more dangerous, and their residents more vocal, they get the protection.
2) Affirmative Action. The best cops often have to pull the weight of those who got into the force because of relaxed rules for certain minorities (that is not to say that all cops from minority backgrounds are incompetent, though). Some of the most hard working cops do the work of more than one, but of course get paid for only one – and they are sometimes the first to be bypassed for promotion.
3) Politics and bureaucracy. Cops sometimes have their hands tied by instructions that come from political sources – such as not to go too rough on members of voting blocs around election day. Sometimes this works in our favor too, but the only way to really combat this kind of favoritism is to make our voice heard in a non-threatening and fully cooperative manner.
And the fact is that even though most members of the respectable black community here and even on streets where Anash do not live are not the ones out there committing crimes, we do pay far more than our share of taxes here (yes, I know that some people evade but still there are quite a few of Anash who pay huge amounts in business and property related tax in NYC) and it is about time we get our money’s worth. Again, the only way we can do that is by speaking out in a unified and organized manner – and putting our petty local politics aside for what is in essence pikuach nefesh.
