Photos of Suspect Sought in Bank Robbery Released
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — More details along with a photo was released by the FBI in connection with the robbery of Apple Bank on Albany Avenue. Surveillance photos show the robber pull a gun on the teller and demand money. He made off with a few hundred dollars.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 50 years old, 6 feet tall, medium build, with salt and pepper facial hair. The individual was last seen wearing a brown knit winter hat and a tan jacket, and he fled on foot.
A reward is available for a tip that breaks the case and callers may remain anonymous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI-NYPD’s Joint Bank Robbery Task Force immediately at 212-384-1000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

if any bank deserves to be robbed it is that apple bank! slowest service in he world! the perp probably just wanted to withdraw cash from his account and did not want to wait 3 hours to get nasty slow customer service, so he just pulled out a gun and forced the lazy bums there to service him, he probably gave his account number and made a deposit too.
did u ever try using their ATM? i have not been around in the 1960’s so i cannot figure out how to use that antiquated machine.

I don’t know how many bank accounts you have, however, APPLE BANK is rated one of the best banks in New York City! Security and customer rating……
have you ever seen the lines on bank of america on kingston. besides the place is tiny.
Apple bank is friendly to the neighborhood and open on Sundays.
Did you know that APPLE BANKS in Jewish community (borogh park, flatbush….) are the only ones open on Sundays. and for us–that is very helpful.

If you watch the video you’ll see that prior to entering the building he moves that hand around and fumbles in his pocket too, so no. But the way he’s holding that hand in the picture, seems to me, that he is standing upright and tall in a way unnatural to him, he’s probably scared and may be a first time offender, he’s also not pointing the gun directly at the teller. That all may give insight at the type of person committing this crime.

TD Bank is also open Sundays, and quite friendly – they have Paskesz lollipops in the BP branch, for example.
