Man Arrested After Crashing Into Parked Cars

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A man was arrested after crashing into a number of parked cars, and attempting to flee the scene only to be stopped by the police command center down the block. By crashing into it as well.

The incident took place in the service lane of Eastern Parkway near Brooklyn Avenue, where he struck a parked car and attempted to flee. He subsequently struck another car, and ultimately coming to stop after crashing into the police truck.

Police arrived at the scene after the accident and arrested the driver, an elderly black man who requires the aid a cane to walk. Bystanders said that they overheard the police saying that it was for driving under the influence.

    Why did the cops have to “arrive” on the scene? Shouldn’t the cops who were supposedly manning the command center have simply exited the command center?

    this person had to have had an argument with his wife and got really angry so went out to crash some cars out!!!

    i live right in front of the command center the big police truck and that makes me feel very safe!!!!!!!!!

    i guess we can say they were lucky he needed the aid of a cane to walk otherwise he would have gotten away
    look at the apprehender – they couldn’t have caught him if not for that
    for shame they have let themselves go and they are the ones out there protecting us

    He does have insurence he’s my uncle. It could happen to anyone I’m sure it was a mistake.
