Dead Body Found Inside Abandoned Construction Site

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Police have set up a crime scene inside of the construction site on Crown Street, where a couple of Bochurim found a dead body.

The victim was identified as John Howells, a white male in his mid-40s, and is not Jewish.

According to the Bochurim who found him, they first spotted him over a week ago by peeking through the fence, and when they came by today they found him in the exact same position as last week. Suspecting the worst the kids called 911.

Police have yet to classify the incident as a homicide, and are currently investigating.

    This is what happens when you ban guns. When you ban guns, you leave the law abiding citizens unarmed and leave the bandits armed, so what happens? The crime goes up. Bandits don’t listen to gun laws.

    He most likely OD’d there. That area is rampant with drugs, he probably bought them near there and decided to shoot up in a nice quiet spot.

    I don’t believe that Crown Heights is any more dangerous than any other neighborhood. This man could have been there and just went for a nap and died it didn’t say anywhere he was shot, did it? Crown Heights has been a neighborhood that has so many persons in it and rent is so high not everyone could afford it. He might have just been a person that had no money for rent and lived in that area. The boys did the right thing. Does’nt anyone have amunah in the Abishter anymore?

    Can’t you read? Did Zaki Tamir say that it happened or that it was allowed to happen? If not, then it did not happen. End of story. If it does not go thru the community council it never happened.

    help! we’re being murdered. there’s a murderer on the loose, ch is such a dangerous neighborhood. ALL YOU MORONS, STOP! This guy was probably a homeless person who simply froze to death. So far in the past two weeks what I did hear on the news was of several people being found dead in Manhattan and of two chassidic people being beaten in Willliamsburg, and a young teacher in Flatbush being killed by a drunken driver. So there was an incident in CH, which basically means it’s part of the lovely New York picture. And to number 5, Hope your move to Harlem is successful. You can probably get a nice large apartment there for next to nothing. As long as you don’t mind sharing it with a few dozen roaches and waterbugs, and another few dozen mice and possibly rats. Not to mention the human rats on the streets just waiting for the right moment to pounce. As the saying in hebrew goes “meshaneh mokom, meshaneh mazal” (you’ll need plenty of the mazal part….)

    Please if anyone in Crown Height Brooklyn saw anything contact Det. Thomas of the 71st Precinct, at 718-735-0514. My little brother John T. Howells was found dead Dec. 9th, 2010 at 1:15pm at 390 Troy Ave Brooklyn. Killed by 2 or more persons with multiple stab wounds, the date of death was the day after Thanksgiving or that weekend. He worked as a handyman for St. Anthony’s Baptist Church on Utica Ave in Brooklyn. A memorial service will be held in Clearwater, FL as soon as the arrangements can be made.

    He didn’t just lay down and die, and he didn’t OD. He was murdered…stabbed and beaten to death! I know because he was my brother in law. My husband just went to NY to ID his body! The image of his dead brother has tormented him since he returned home!You know…the death of a family member is hard, but when that family member is murdered…it becomes unbearable for his loved ones to handle.
