Jews Robbed at Gunpoint on Crown Street

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A group of a Jewish teens were robbed by a gun toting duo earlier this evening. Thanks to quick police response one of them were arrested.

The incident took place on Crown Street near Brooklyn Avenue at around 10:15 in the evening, and a police chase ensued. Witnesses said police chased the pair, which split up, on Kingston and Carroll and ultimately apprehended one of them on Crown near Kingston.

Police enlisted the help of a helicopter to search the alleyway and rooftops, in attempt to locate the second suspect, but he managed to elude capture.

There were no reported injuries stemming from this incident BH.

THAT WAS OFFICER CASTIO AND OFFICER CUENCA WHO CAUGHT THE GUY LETS PUT THIS ON THE NEWS AND CREDIT THEM FOR THEIR GOOD JOB TONIGHT..THOSE ARE THE SAME COPS WHO PROTECT YOU EVERYDAY AND PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE FOR YOUR COMMUNITY AND YOU POST THE NEGATIVE. WHEN YOU SEE THEM THANK THEM AND STOP BEING SO MEAN TO THEM BECAUSE THEY JUST CAUGHT A GUY WHO ROB A JEWISH MAN HOME.

    The police are given credit in this article and other articles aswell. However, when they botch up and for example stop a Hatzalah member or tow away the shomrim command post, that isnt negative reporting. that is reporting the way it is. so when they do a good job they get lauded for it, when they dont they get a negative response.

    OMG They did a good job tonight which they probably do most of the time.
    Yes we should commend them when they do a GOOD job, however they should be CONDEMNED when they simply do a BAD job and harass innocent boys standing and having a peaceful conversation.
