CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A Bochur on his way home from night Seder in Yeshiva was accosted by a group of 3 Black teens on Brooklyn Avenue, who hit him and threatened to stab him in attempt to steal his bicycle.

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A Bochur on his way home from night Seder in Yeshiva was accosted by a group of 3 Black teens on Brooklyn Avenue, who hit him and threatened to stab him in attempt to steal his bicycle.

The incident took place at around 9:00pm on the corner of Carroll Street and Brooklyn Avenue, where the group, two males and one female, accosted the Bochur and tried to steal his bike.

Passersby’s witnessed the and scared the attackers off and attempted to apprehend the group, which fled down Carroll towards Kingston and ran into a private house on the block. Police were called and they made an attempt to apprehend the individuals but the family living in the household claimed that the group already left, but acknowledged that they were there.

Thankfully the Bochur was not hurt, and Police filed a report.

    If the cops would not pick on Bouchrim talking “in private property” and would ACTUALLY patrol the streets (not Dunkin Doughnuts) this would not have happened. Simple!

    Ironically, this incident happened across the street from where the three bochurim were issued summons for standing on the sidewalk. Make what you want of it…

    very nice. and if this had accured in the reverse, the police would knock down the door of the Family and interigate them untill they’d find the thugs. But so sorryfully ther just wasnt much they cud do! A pity.

    To #10. Martial arts is excellent in many ways, but a 13 year old bochur, even with martial arts training, is no match for a group of THREE teens together, who are also threatening to STAB him.

    Maybe some people have been watching too many Jackie Chan movies?

    They should post a cruiser to sit in front of that house, take pictures of all who enter and exit the house, it’s a legal way to put this “innocent family” on edge, and they’ll reconsider giving asylum to felons/hudloms.

    These cops are lazy (or maybe they just don’t care about us???) They broke the door down in middle of the night (in the wrong house) when they thought they will find some one (one of us) but in this case they act stupid and just go away when the lying homeowner told them “they went dattaway” What is the house number? We (Shomrim)can do the stake out ourselves.
